Texas High School Basketball - Belton knocked off by University

The University Trojans basketball team scored 75 points and held the visiting Belton Tigers to 63 in the Trojans league triumph on Tuesday.

The Trojans now sport a 18-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chaparral for a 5A Region III District 22 contest on Friday, January 5. University will battle a Bobcats team coming off a 83-39 league loss to Ellison (Killeen, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 13-12.

The Tigers (19-3) will now prepare for their contest against Waco (Waco, TX). The Lions enter the 5A Region III District 22 contest with a 8-13 record. In their last contest, Waco ran past Lake Belton (Temple, TX), 61-56, in a league contest.
