Broadway Gobblers (Broadway, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host William Monroe Dragons (Stanardsville, VA), 61-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Broadway upgrades its record to 9-3 on the season. The Gobblers travel to Staunton (Staunton, VA) to clash with the Storm in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Storm go into the bout with a record of 5-4. Staunton won 64-32 in their recent league bout against Buffalo Gap (Swoope, VA)

Next up, the Dragons clash with the Harrisonburg Blue Streaks (Harrisonburg, VA) in a Valley bout, on Tuesday, January 9. William Monroe will attempt to upgrade on its 9-3 season record.
