The Cairo-Durham Mustangs (Cairo, NY) basketball felled the visiting Coxsackie-Athens Riverhawks (Coxsackie, NY), 54-42 in Tuesday's league test.
The Mustangs (2-7) will now prepare for their test against Watervliet (Watervliet, NY). The Cannoneers go into the Section 2 Patroon test with a 10-0 record. In their last test, Watervliet thwarted Catskill (Catskill, NY), 71-35, in a league test.
The Riverhawks now own a 0-6 record. They play next when they host Catskill for a Section 2 Patroon test on Friday, January 5. Coxsackie-Athens will encounter a Cats squad coming off a 71-35 league loss to Watervliet (Watervliet, NY). The Cats record now stands at 2-7.
