Fayetteville Lions (Fayetteville, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Calvert Trojans (Calvert, TX), 101-62 in a league bout.

With the victory, Fayetteville upgrades its record to 16-4 on the campaign. The Lions host McDade (McDade, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 1A Region IV District 29 bout on Friday, January 5. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 3-9. McDade lost 67-54 in their recent league bout against Dime Box (Dime Box, TX)

Next up, the Trojans play the Richards Panthers (Richards, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 29 bout, on Friday, January 5. Calvert will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 10-6 record after their 89-16 league win over Buckholts (Buckholts, TX).
