Valencia Vikings (Valencia, CA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Canyon Cowboys (Canyon Country, CA), 70-55 in a league bout.

With the victory, Valencia upgrades its record to 8-7 on the campaign. The Vikings host Golden Valley (Santa Clarita, CA) to play the Grizzlies in a Foothill bout on Friday, January 5. The Grizzlies come into the bout with a record of 12-6. Golden Valley lost 82-68 in their recent league bout against Saugus (Saugus, CA)

Next up, the Cowboys play the Castaic Coyotes (Castaic, CA) in a Foothill bout, on Friday, January 5. Canyon will attempt to upgrade on its 11-7 season record. The Coyotes come into the bout with a 14-6 record after their 71-63 non-league win over Animo Venice (Los Angeles, CA).
