York Wildcats (York, ME) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Cape Elizabeth Capers (Cape Elizabeth, ME), 55-32 in a league bout.

With the victory, York upgrades its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Lake Region (Naples, ME) to play the Lakers in a B South bout on Saturday, January 6. The Lakers come into the bout with a record of 3-4. Lake Region lost 70-37 in their recent league bout against Yarmouth (Yarmouth, ME)

Next up, the Capers play the Waynflete Flyers (Portland, ME) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 4. Cape Elizabeth will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Flyers come into the bout with a 4-1 record after their 72-70 league win over Boothbay (Boothbay Harbor, ME).
