The Lorena Leopards (Lorena, TX) basketball nipped the host C.H. Yoe Yoemen (Cameron, TX), 51-47 in Tuesday's league test.

The Leopards (11-8) will now prepare for their test against Rockdale (Rockdale, TX). The Tigers go into the 3A Region III District 19 test with a 4-16 record. In their last test, Rockdale was tipped by McGregor (McGregor, TX), 54-38, in a league test.

The Yoemen now own a 9-9 record. They play next when they travel to Little River Academy for a 3A Region III District 19 test on Friday, January 5. C.H. Yoe will encounter a Bumblebees squad coming off a 45-38 league win over Rogers (Rogers, TX). The Bumblebees record now stands at 6-8.
