Charles City Panthers (Charles City, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host King & Queen Central Royal Tigers (King & Queen Court House, VA), 64-57 in a league bout.

With the win, Charles City upgrades its record to 6-4 on the season. The Panthers host Southampton (Courtland, VA) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 3. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 5-3. Southampton lost 53-46 in their recent league bout against Greensville County (Emporia, VA)

Next up, the Royal Tigers play the Northampton Yellowjackets (Eastville, VA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 5. King & Queen Central will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a 7-4 record after their 81-73 non-league loss to Lancaster (Lancaster, VA).
