Tennessee High School Basketball - Cherokee ripped by University

The University Buccaneers basketball team scored 72 points and held the host Cherokee Chiefs to 44 in the Buccaneers non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Buccaneers now sport a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Greene for a 1A District 1 contest on Thursday, January 4. University will meet a Huskies team coming off a 64-55 non-league loss to Chuckey-Doak (Afton, TN). The Huskies record now stands at 5-9.
The Chiefs (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against Hancock County (Sneedville, TN). The Indians enter the non-league contest with a 0-12 record. In their last contest, Hancock County was routed by Claiborne (New Tazewell, TN), 64-42, in a non-league contest.
