Northeast Vernon County Knights (Walker, MO) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Chilhowee Indians (Chilhowee, MO), 58-26 in a league bout.

With the victory, Northeast Vernon County upgrades its record to 3-7 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Drexel (Drexel, MO) to play the Bobcats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Bobcats come into the bout with a record of 8-3.

Next up, the Indians play the Montrose Blue Jays (Montrose, MO) in a Golden Valley Vernon bout, on Thursday, January 4. Chilhowee will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Blue Jays come into the bout with a 5-5 record after their 65-53 non-league loss to Leeton (Leeton, MO).
