The George Stevens Academy Eagles (Blue Hill, ME) basketball crushed the host Deer Isle-Stonington Mariners (Deer Isle, ME), 66-30 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Eagles (5-1) will now prepare for their test against Narraguagus (Harrington, ME). The Knights go into the C North test with a 3-3 record. In their last test, Narraguagus was trounced by Machias (Machias, ME), 61-43, in a league test.
The Mariners now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to Searsport for a non-league test on Thursday, January 4. Deer Isle-Stonington will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 54-46 non-league loss to Central (East Corinth, ME). The Vikings record now stands at 0-6.
