In Tuesday's non-league match, the host Ripley Tigers basketball team scored a tight 50-47 triumph over the Dyersburg Trojans.
In their next game, the Tigers meet the Peabody Golden Tide (Trenton, TN) in a 2A District 14 match, on Friday, January 5. Ripley will attempt to better on its 10-5 season record.
With the defeat, Dyersburg moves to 9-6 on the year. The Trojans host Obion County (Troy, TN) to meet the Rebels in a 3A District 13 match on Tuesday, January 9. The Rebels enter the match with a record of 11-4.
