The Marquette Defenders basketball team scored 70 points and held the host Easton Valley to 21 in the Defenders league triumph on Tuesday.
The Defenders now sport a 10-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Springville for a non-league contest on Friday, January 5. Marquette will battle a Orioles team coming off a 56-47 league win over Edgewood-Colesburg (Edgewood, IA). The Orioles record now stands at 6-4.
The (1-10) will now prepare for their contest against Central City (Central City, IA). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 2-8 record. In their last contest, Central City was routed by Maquoketa Valley (Delhi, IA), 59-34, in a league contest.
