Virginia High School Basketball - Thomas Walker knocked off by Eastside

The Eastside Spartans basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Thomas Walker Pioneers to 34 in the Spartans league victory on Tuesday.
With the victory, Eastside upgrades its record to 2-7 on the campaign. The Spartans host Rye Cove (Clinchport, VA) to play the Eagles in a Cumberland bout on Friday, January 5. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 1-6. Rye Cove won 52-48 in their recent league bout against Twin Springs (Nickelsville, VA)
Next up, the Pioneers play the Pineville Mountain Lions (Pineville, KY) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 4. Thomas Walker will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Mountain Lions come into the bout with a 8-4 record after their 84-73 non-league win over Powell County (Stanton, KY).
