Eldorado Eagles (Eldorado, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Sterling City Eagles (Sterling City, TX), 48-31 in a league bout.

With the win, Eldorado upgrades its record to 12-9 on the season. The Eagles travel to Reagan County (Big Lake, TX) to play the Owls in a 2A Region I District 7 bout on Friday, January 5. The Owls go into the bout with a record of 14-6. Reagan County lost 60-52 in their recent league bout against Forsan (Forsan, TX)

Next up, the Eagles play the Ozona Lions (Ozona, TX) in a 2A Region I District 7 bout, on Friday, January 5. Sterling City will attempt to upgrade on its 16-2 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 10-10 record after their 61-48 league loss to Christoval (Christoval, TX).
