The Montgomery Bell Academy Big Red (Nashville, TN) basketball knocked off the host Ensworth Tigers (Nashville, TN), 52-44 in Tuesday's league test.
The Big Red (4-2) will now prepare for their test against Pope John Paul II (Hendersonville, TN). The Knights go into the Division II-AA Middle test with a 12-2 record. In their last test, Pope John Paul II notched a victory over Douglass (Atlanta, GA), 67-48, in a non-league test.
The Tigers now own a 5-9 record. They play next when they travel to Brentwood Academy for a Division II-AA Middle test on Thursday, January 4. Ensworth will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 65-48 league win over Father Ryan (Nashville, TN). The Eagles record now stands at 10-4.
