The Manheim Central Barons basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Garden Spot Spartans to 50 in the Barons non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Barons now sport a 7-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ephrata for a Lancaster-Lebanon 2 contest on Friday, January 5. Manheim Central will battle a Mountaineers team coming off a 55-42 league win over Solanco (Quarryville, PA). The Mountaineers record now stands at 6-3.

The Spartans (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Kennard-Dale (Fawn Grove, PA). The Rams enter the non-league contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, Kennard-Dale was nudged by Columbia (Columbia, PA), 65-53, in a non-league contest.
