The Thornton Academy Trojans basketball team (Saco, ME), was overwhelmed 75-41 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Gorham Rams (Gorham, ME)
The Rams now possess a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sanford for a AA South battle on Thursday, January 4. Gorham will confront a Spartans team coming off a 69-58 league win over Bonny Eagle (Standish, ME). The Spartans record now stands at 5-2.
The Trojans (5-4) will now prepare for their battle against Scarborough (Scarborough, ME). The Red Storm come into the AA South battle with a 6-1 record. In their last battle, Scarborough trounced Bonny Eagle (Standish, ME), 56-51, in a league battle.
