In Tuesday's league outing, the Hale Center Owls (Hale Center, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Smyer Bobcats (Smyer, TX), by a count of 72-34.

The Bobcats now hold a 3-13 record. They play next when they host Floydada for a 2A Region I District 4 outing on Friday, January 5. Smyer will face a Whirlwinds team coming off a 91-45 league win over Lockney (Lockney, TX). The Whirlwinds record now stands at 14-6.
