Hicks Pirates (Leesville, LA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Hathaway Hornets (Jennings, LA), 70-43 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Hicks upgrades its record to 14-9 on the campaign. The Pirates host Oak Hill (Hineston, LA) to play the Rams in a B District 4 bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Rams come into the bout with a record of 4-13.

Next up, the Hornets play the JS Clark Leadership Academy Bulldogs (Opelousas, LA) in a B District 6 bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Hathaway will attempt to upgrade on its 6-19 season record.
