Hazard Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs (Hazard, KY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Perry County Central Commodores (Hazard, KY), 56-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Hazard upgrades its record to 14-1 on the season. The Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs travel to Leslie County (Hyden, KY) to play the Eagles in a District 54 bout on Thursday, January 4. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 9-5. Leslie County lost 48-45 in their recent non-league bout against Trinity Christian Academy (Lexington, KY)

Next up, the Commodores play the Paintsville Tigers (Paintsville, KY) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 3. Perry County Central will attempt to upgrade on its 8-6 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 7-4 record after their 64-38 non-league loss to Avon (Avon, IN).
