The Holland Hornets (Holland, TX) basketball nipped the host Milano Eagles (Milano, TX), 40-37 in Tuesday's league test.

The Hornets (12-5) will now prepare for their test against Thrall (Thrall, TX). The Tigers go into the 2A Region IV District 27 test with a 19-1 record. In their last test, Thrall got by Bartlett (Bartlett, TX), 60-34, in a league test.

The Eagles now own a 1-13 record. They play next when they travel to Hearne for a 2A Region IV District 27 test on Friday, January 5. Milano will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 57-37 non-league loss to Live Oak Classical (Waco, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 2-7.
