Taft Wildcats (Taft, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Kennedy Thunderbirds (Delano, CA), 67-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Taft upgrades its record to 9-8 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Shafter (Shafter, CA) to play the Generals in a South Sequoia bout on Thursday, January 4. The Generals go into the bout with a record of 7-7. Shafter lost 56-50 in their recent league bout against Chavez (Delano, CA)

Next up, the Thunderbirds play the Delano Tigers (Delano, CA) in a South Sequoia bout, on Thursday, January 4. Kennedy will attempt to upgrade on its 5-10 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 11-5 record after their 68-63 non-league win over Justin Garza (Fresno, CA).
