The Sherman Bearcats (Sherman, TX) basketball knocked off the host Melissa Cardinals (Melissa, TX), 68-52 in Tuesday's league test.

The Bearcats (20-2) will now prepare for their test against Greenville (Greenville, TX). The Lions go into the 5A Region II District 13 test with a 8-6 record. In their last test, Greenville went down by Grand Oaks (Spring, TX), 63-58, in a non-league test.

The Cardinals now own a 8-12 record. They play next when they travel to Denison for a 5A Region II District 13 test on Friday, January 5. Melissa will encounter a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 55-49 league win over Lovejoy (Lucas, TX). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 8-12.
