In Tuesday's non-league outing, the North Panola Cougars (Sardis, MS) basketball squad nipped the visiting Noxubee County Tigers (Macon, MS), by a margin of 55-54.
The Cougars (9-5) will now prepare for their outing against Coahoma County (Clarksdale, MS). The Red Panthers go into the 3A Region 2 outing with a 15-4 record. In their last outing, Coahoma County got by North Side (Shelby, MS), 40-33, in a non-league outing.
The Tigers now own a 4-7 record. They play next when they travel to Greene County for a non-league outing on Wednesday, January 3. Noxubee County will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 60-34 non-league loss to Hancock (Kiln, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 2-14.
