Rogers Mountaineers (Rogers, AR) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Northside Grizzlies (Fort Smith, AR), 46-43 in a league bout.

With the victory, Rogers upgrades its record to 7-5 on the campaign. The Mountaineers travel to Har-Ber (Springdale, AR) to play the Wildcats in a 6A West bout on Friday, January 5. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 14-1. Har-Ber won 69-63 in their recent non-league bout against Morrilton (Morrilton, AR)

Next up, the Grizzlies play the Bentonville Tigers (Bentonville, AR) in a 6A West bout, on Friday, January 5. Northside will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 7-8 record after their 65-45 non-league win over Yorba Linda (Yorba Linda, CA).
