The Port Isabel Tarpons routed the visiting Raymondville Bearkats basketball team by a final score of 75-49 in Tuesday's league game.

In their next game, the Tarpons face the Grulla Gators (Rio Grande City, TX) in a 4A Region IV District 32 game, on Friday, January 5. Port Isabel will attempt to move on its 15-6 season record. The Gators enter the game with a 6-6 record after their 79-22 league win over Harmony School of Innovation (Brownsville, TX).

The Bearkats (9-16) will now prepare for their battle against Zapata (Zapata, TX). The Hawks come into the 4A Region IV District 32 battle with a 0-13 record. In their last battle, Zapata was overwhelmed by Jubilee Brownsville (Brownsville, TX), 57-54, in a league battle.
