The Spartans now possess a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Adams for a 5A Region II District 12 battle on Friday, January 5. Samuell will confront a Cougars team coming off a 57-47 league loss to Seagoville (Dallas, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 10-12.

The Wranglers (14-5) will now prepare for their battle against North Mesquite (Mesquite, TX). The Stallions come into the 5A Region II District 12 battle with a 9-9 record. In their last battle, North Mesquite beat Conrad (Dallas, TX), 65-46, in a league battle.
