The Tourtellotte Tigers basketball team (North Grosvenordale, CT), was nudged 54-51 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Wheeler Lions (North Stonington, CT)
The Lions now possess a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lyman Memorial for a Eastern Connecticut IV battle on Friday, January 5. Wheeler will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 68-53 league loss to Plainfield (Central Village, CT). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-5.
The Tigers (4-2) will now prepare for their battle against Putnam (Putnam, CT). The Clippers come into the Eastern Connecticut IV battle with a 3-3 record. In their last battle, Putnam was nudged by Bacon Academy (Colchester, CT), 40-38, in a non-league battle.
