Woodside Wolverines (Newport News, VA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Warwick Raiders (Newport News, VA), 72-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Woodside upgrades its record to 9-0 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Kecoughtan (Hampton, VA) to play the Warriors in a Peninsula bout on Thursday, January 4. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 4-5. Kecoughtan won 85-66 in their recent league bout against Denbigh (Newport News, VA)

Next up, the Raiders play the Hampton Crabbers (Hampton, VA) in a Peninsula bout, on Thursday, January 4. Warwick will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Crabbers come into the bout with a 8-1 record after their 48-46 league win over Menchville (Newport News, VA).
