Mount St. Dominic Academy Lions (Caldwell, NJ) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Academy of St. Elizabeth Panthers (Convent Station, NJ), 59-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mount St. Dominic Academy upgrades its record to 4-4 on the season. The Lions host Randolph (Randolph, NJ) to clash with the Rams in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 4. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 3-4. Randolph won 48-37 in their recent non-league bout against Hunterdon Central (Flemington, NJ)

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Kinnelon Colts (Kinnelon, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 5. Academy of St. Elizabeth will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Colts go into the bout with a 6-3 record after their 60-22 league loss to Villa Walsh Academy (Morristown, NJ).
