The Northwest Texans basketball team scored 51 points and restricted the visiting Azle Hornets to 48 in the Texans league victory on Tuesday.

The Texans now sport a 4-16 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Granbury for a 5A Region I District 5 contest on Friday, January 5. Northwest will battle a Pirates team coming off a 47-36 league win over Rider (Wichita Falls, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 14-9.

The Hornets (9-9) will now prepare for their contest against Saginaw (Saginaw, TX). The Rough Riders come into the 5A Region I District 5 contest with a 5-14 record. In their last contest, Saginaw was nudged by Brewer (Fort Worth, TX), 80-12, in a league contest.
