The Bainbridge Spartans (Bainbridge Island, WA) basketball nipped the host Port Angeles Roughriders (Port Angeles, WA), 44-40 in Tuesday's league test.
The Spartans (2-3) will now prepare for their test against Bremerton (Bremerton, WA). The Knights go into the 2A Olympic test with a 0-2 record. In their last test, Bremerton was tipped by Olympic (Bremerton, WA), 36-33, in a league test.
The Roughriders now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to North Kitsap for a 2A Olympic test on Friday, January 5. Port Angeles will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 41-40 league loss to Kingston (Kingston, WA). The Vikings record now stands at 2-2.
