Barnsdall Panthers (Barnsdall, OK) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Copan Hornets (Copan, OK), 42-30 in a league bout.

With the win, Barnsdall upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The Panthers travel to Woodland (Fairfax, OK) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Monday, January 8. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 3-5. Woodland won 46-25 in their recent non-league bout against Yale (Yale, OK)

Next up, the Hornets play the South Coffeyville Lions (South Coffeyville, OK) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Copan will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 5-4 record after their 43-11 non-league win over Bluejacket (Bluejacket, OK).
