Bibb County Choctaws (Centreville, AL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Sipsey Valley Bears (Buhl, AL), 42-29 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Bibb County upgrades its record to 12-2 on the season. The Choctaws travel to Holt (Holt, AL) to clash with the Ironmen in a 4A Area 6 bout on Thursday, January 4. The Ironmen go into the bout with a record of 0-7. Holt lost 50-17 in their recent league bout against West Blocton (West Blocton, AL)

Next up, the Bears clash with the Brookwood Panthers (Brookwood, AL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 5. Sipsey Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 9-4 season record.
