The Monett Cubs basketball team scored 70 points and held the visiting Billings Wildcats to 29 in the Cubs non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Cubs now sport a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Nevada for a Big 8 contest on Thursday, January 4. Monett will meet a Tigers team coming off a 44-36 non-league loss to Webb City (Webb City, MO). The Tigers record now stands at 4-5.
The Wildcats (3-6) will now prepare for their contest against Verona (Verona, MO). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 3-5 record.
