Our Lady of Good Counsel Falcons (Olney, MD) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Bishop Ireton Cardinals (Alexandria, VA), 69-66 in a league bout.
With the win, Our Lady of Good Counsel upgrades its record to 7-5 on the season. The Falcons travel to Elizabeth Seton (Bladensburg, MD) to play the in a Washington Catholic bout on Tuesday, January 9. The go into the bout with a record of 10-1.
Next up, the Cardinals play the Bishop O'Connell Knights (Arlington, VA) in a Washington Catholic bout, on Friday, January 5. Bishop Ireton will attempt to upgrade on its 9-3 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 8-4 record after their 94-30 league loss to Bishop McNamara (Forestville, MD).
