The Volunteers now possess a 11-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Arlington for a 6A Region I District 8 battle on Friday, January 5. Bowie will confront a Colts team coming off a 35-23 league loss to Haltom (Haltom City, TX). The Colts record now stands at 5-14.

The Gophers (5-8) will now prepare for their battle against South Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie, TX). The Warriors come into the 6A Region I District 8 battle with a 16-3 record. In their last battle, South Grand Prairie trounced Sam Houston (Arlington, TX), 67-6, in a league battle.
