Chatham Central Bears (Bear Creek, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Graham Red Devils (Graham, NC), 66-50 in a league bout.

With the victory, Chatham Central upgrades its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Cummings (Burlington, NC) to play the Cavaliers in a 1A/2A Mid-Carolina bout on Friday, January 5. The Cavaliers come into the bout with a record of 0-7. Cummings lost 57-23 in their recent non-league bout against Williams (Burlington, NC)

Next up, the Red Devils play the Northwood Chargers (Pittsboro, NC) in a 1A/2A Mid-Carolina bout, on Friday, January 5. Graham will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Chargers come into the bout with a 9-2 record after their 46-36 league loss to Seaforth (Pittsboro, NC).
