Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Cooper Bulldogs (Cooper, TX) and the host Como-Pickton Eagles (Como, TX), saw Cooper's basketball squad hold off Como-Pickton by a tally of 42-36.
With the victory, Cooper improves its record to 10-11 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Cumby (Cumby, TX) to play the Trojans in a 2A Region II District 15 challenge on Friday, January 5. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 6-14. Cumby lost 40-31 in their recent non-league challenge against Prairiland (Pattonville, TX)
Next up, the Eagles play the Boles Hornets (Quinlan, TX) in a 2A Region II District 15 challenge, on Friday, January 5. Como-Pickton will attempt to improve on its 11-9 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 13-11 record after their 55-43 league win over North Hopkins (Sulphur Springs, TX).
