The Deering Rams (Portland, ME) basketball nipped the visiting Mt. Ararat Eagles (Topsham, ME), 37-31 in Tuesday's league test.
The Rams (3-4) will now prepare for their test against Kennebunk (Kennebunk, ME). The Rams go into the A South test with a 0-6 record. In their last test, Kennebunk was tipped by Biddeford (Biddeford, ME), 57-23, in a non-league test.
The Eagles now own a 6-1 record. They play next when they host Brunswick for a A South test on Thursday, January 4. Mt. Ararat will encounter a Dragons squad coming off a 42-26 league win over Gray-New Gloucester (Gray, ME). The Dragons record now stands at 6-1.
