The McGehee Owls (McGehee, AR) basketball crushed the host DeWitt Dragons (DeWitt, AR), 70-30 in Tuesday's league test.

The Owls (11-6) will now prepare for their test against Smackover (Smackover, AR). The Buckaroos go into the 3A Region 8 test with a 2-12 record. In their last test, Smackover was trounced by Dumas (Dumas, AR), 36-9, in a league test.

The Dragons now own a 7-8 record. They play next when they travel to Harmony Grove for a 3A Region 8 test on Friday, January 5. DeWitt will encounter a Hornets squad coming off a 55-48 non-league win over Hermitage (Hermitage, AR). The Hornets record now stands at 2-7.
