Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Dorman Cavaliers (Roebuck, SC) and the visiting Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC), saw Dorman's basketball squad wallop Shelby by a count of 77-23.

With the victory, Dorman upgrades its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to J.L. Mann (Greenville, SC) to play the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 5. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 10-2. J.L. Mann won 50-29 in their recent non-league challenge against Boiling Springs (Spartanburg, SC)

Next up, the Golden Lions play the Cherryville Ironmen (Cherryville, NC) in a 1A/2A Southern Piedmont challenge, on Wednesday, January 3. Shelby will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Ironmen come into the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 51-45 non-league loss to Piedmont Community Charter (Gastonia, NC).
