The Garden Spot Spartans basketball team (New Holland, PA), was overwhelmed 59-34 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Manheim Central Barons (Manheim, PA)

The Barons now possess a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ephrata for a Lancaster-Lebanon 2 battle on Friday, January 5. Manheim Central will battle a Mountaineers team coming off a 37-22 league win over Solanco (Quarryville, PA). The Mountaineers record now stands at 7-1.

The Spartans (0-5) will now prepare for their battle against Cocalico (Denver, PA). The Eagles come into the Lancaster-Lebanon 2 battle with a 2-7 record. In their last battle, Cocalico trounced Twin Valley (Elverson, PA), 38-24, in a non-league battle.
