Garrison Bulldogs (Garrison, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Gary Bobcats (Gary, TX), 44-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Garrison upgrades its record to 11-10 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Shelbyville (Shelbyville, TX) to play the Dragons in a 2A Region III District 23 bout on Friday, January 5. The Dragons go into the bout with a record of 13-8. Shelbyville lost 76-23 in their recent league bout against Tenaha (Tenaha, TX)

Next up, the Bobcats play the Timpson Bears (Timpson, TX) in a 2A Region III District 23 bout, on Friday, January 5. Gary will attempt to upgrade on its 9-14 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 9-14 record after their 44-38 league win over Joaquin (Joaquin, TX).
