The Gordon Central Warriors basketball team (Calhoun, GA), was nudged 43-40 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Southeast Whitfield County Raiders (Dalton, GA)
The Raiders now possess a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sonoraville for a AAAA Region 7 battle on Friday, January 5. Southeast Whitfield County will confront a Phoenix team coming off a 42-32 non-league win over Model (Rome, GA). The Phoenix record now stands at 4-11.
The Warriors (4-10) will now prepare for their battle against North Murray (Chatsworth, GA). The Mountaineers come into the AA Region 7 battle with a 8-5 record. In their last battle, North Murray edged Coahulla Creek (Dalton, GA), 42-36, in a non-league battle.
