Granbury Pirates (Granbury, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Rider Raiders (Wichita Falls, TX), 47-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Granbury upgrades its record to 14-9 on the season. The Pirates host Northwest (Justin, TX) to clash with the Texans in a 5A Region I District 5 bout on Friday, January 5. The Texans go into the bout with a record of 4-16. Northwest won 51-48 in their recent league bout against Azle (Azle, TX)

Next up, the Raiders clash with the Northwest Texans (Justin, TX) in a 5A Region I District 5 bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Rider will attempt to upgrade on its 5-11 season record.
