Heavener Wolves (Heavener, OK) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Wilburton Diggers (Wilburton, OK), 48-37 in a league bout.

With the win, Heavener upgrades its record to 4-4 on the season. The Wolves host Hartshorne (Hartshorne, OK) to play the Miners in a Black Diamond bout on Friday, January 5. The Miners go into the bout with a record of 5-8. Hartshorne lost 51-41 in their recent non-league bout against Latta (Ada, OK)

Next up, the Diggers play the Eufaula Ironheads (Eufaula, OK) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 4. Wilburton will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Ironheads go into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 41-40 non-league loss to Preston (Preston, OK).
