The Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX) basketball crushed the visiting Roma Gladiators (Roma, TX), 71-37 in Tuesday's league test.

The Mustangs (20-8) will now prepare for their test against Mission Veterans Memorial (Mission, TX). The Patriots go into the 5A Region IV District 30 test with a 8-10 record. In their last test, Mission Veterans Memorial was trounced by Palmview (La Joya, TX), 60-20, in a league test.

The Gladiators now own a 21-6 record. They play next when they host Palmview for a 5A Region IV District 30 test on Friday, January 5. Roma will encounter a Lobos squad coming off a 60-20 league win over Mission Veterans Memorial (Mission, TX). The Lobos record now stands at 21-5.
