The Palmyra-Eagle Panthers basketball team scored 48 points and held the visiting Rio Vikings to 40 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Panthers now sport a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Madison Country Day for a Trailways - South contest on Thursday, January 4. Palmyra-Eagle will battle a team coming off a 72-7 league loss to Deerfield (Deerfield, WI). The record now stands at 0-4.
The Vikings (2-10) will now prepare for their contest against Markesan (Markesan, WI). The Hornets enter the Trailways - West contest with a 2-8 record. In their last contest, Markesan was defeated by North Fond du Lac (North Fond du Lac, WI), 58-37, in a non-league contest.
